Lucky??!!

As usual, whenever our big boss from US came to visit our factory in Penang, we will have a non lead meeting.
After the meeting, he will ask one of the staff to draw 6 peoples to have lunch with him. Usually, the new comers will be the “Lucky” ones. Since I’m not new to the company, I thought to myself that the chances of me getting pick is quite slim. I thus, proceed to jokingly congratulate 2 of my colleagues, because the boss will ask a lot of questions during the lunch session. Well, as soon as I made fun of the two colleagues, my name was called out. Oh my god, I cant believe my “luck”. I guess this is karma, when you wish something will happen to others, you will end up getting it. >”<
The driver(if not mistaken, the car is Toyota Estima) drop us off at QB to have our lunch at Pastasia and Haagen-Dazs, Our boss have a friendly disposition and is a fun loving guy. He like to talk and joke with us. Luckily, he didn’t ask me too many question. Anyway, I felt a bit pressure to have lunch with the big boss of our company.
Its incredible that during the lunch, he held out a piece of pizza to our mouth for us to eat. Wait, sure is one piece each for each of us. Maybe, as an Argentine, he is used to doing it in the public restaurant. Even the guy staff also got the same treatment from him. I felt really weird and embarrass. Anyhow, it was such an unforgettable experience.
It was a long lunch that took almost 3 hours. It was fun though. We then leisurely went back to our office and what even better was that we don’t have to pick up the tap Also, I don’t have to worry about finding a parking space which is always the case if I were to drive out for lunch.

Buffet

Today is my mum birthday, last night the entire family went to City Bay View Hotel for a buffet dinner. The night view was magnificent but the food can be considered as only average. 1st time I have buffet with my parents , coz last time they always claimed that they cannot eat much, dun waste money etc...... I remember last time my sis brought my parents to EQ for Japanese food. My father had a stomach upset because of raw food haha~ We really did have a great time last night. Feeling real good of spending our time together in a family outing.

Complicated Feeling

I really don’t know how to describe my feeling now, excited? Happy? Worry? Or uncertainty…… this evening, my manager informed that I will be given a permanent position effective from 1 Feb 2008. Anyhow, my job function will change again. Over the past 4 months I have been through 2 different job function and will be taking on another new responsibility next month. Just when I am about to get used to my new job function which started on January, I now face the prospect of being assigned to a completely new job scope. My manager told me that as a team player, i will have to diversify my skills and always try and acquire new competencies. Never in my imagination that I could learn and adapt to new job requirements in a short period of time. Anyway, so far so good. May god bless me in my new position. Hope to get a raise too at the same time.

Happy Birthday!!! yeah~

This afternoon, all the staff from my department went out to celebrate birthday for me and the manager because our birthday are only a day apart. So many people celebrating with me because of the manager birthday. :( Well, at least I have cake and having lunch with so many friends at QB Nando :P P/S: Rize, thanks for your birthday present. I love it. And to all those friends who take your time to celebrate with me, i wish to thank you all. Not forgetting too, are all my friends who wish me by SMS and instant messages. :)

Improvement

This afternoon, 5 peoples entrusted their life to me because I drove them to lunch at KFC for Inn Inn’s farewell. This is the first time that I drive with so many peoples on board. My driving can be consider as good, not as smooth as I wish though. Today dancing class was from 7.10pm to8.00pm. For this lesson, the instructor taught us to pose with our hands and waist instead of focusing on the steps we had learn yesterday. We were complimented for making a significant improvement from the first lesson. she said that i have improved too. :) Last month, I watch a Hong Kong’s drama series about dancing, I feel dancing actually is quite interesting and I never in my imagination that i have a chance to learn to dance one day. It is a wonderful coincidence that now, i have been force to learn by my company. Sweating feel so good after not having been exercising for so long. My knees still hurt right now from dancing…… tonight after the lesson i drove home and it was the first time I ever drive after dark. My eyes feel very uncomfortable when the on coming cars turn on their high beams. The strong light almost blinded me for a couple of seconds. I wonder why the drivers want to on the high light. God bless me……

New Experience

My knees are sore right now, don’t know whether is due to too much driving or dancing. The dancing lesson that we attended just now was very interesting for all of us who never learn to dance before. The line dancing is very much like the “cha cha dance”, less steps and keep on repeat. The instructor taught us all the steps in this first lesson. We try our best to follow what the instructor taught us and enjoy ourselves within this 1 hour. Anyway, most of us will forget the steps when we turn to the other side although the steps is same as 1st round. :P Will tell you more once I have gone through tomorrow lesson......will be continued

Dancing

I will have my first dancing class after work tomorrow, from 5.30pm to 6.30pm. Maybe you are surprise that why I suddenly interested in dancing? Actually I been force by my company one ok? >:< As a new staff, it is compulsory for me to perform at our departmental annual dinner which will be held at the end of this month. There will be 3 groups that going to perform. Our group decided on line dancing as our repertoire .Can you imagine, someone as untalented as I am in dancing, have to perform in front of so many people during the dinner? Help me!!!

Growth

The past week was very challenging to me, In work and in driving. I start to solve a lot of issues which just assigned to me during working hour. Yesterday I also challenge my to drive through the hilly stretch of road through paya terubong which I never drove past before. In the end I can do it all, haha~ We will grow only by constantly challenging ourselves, do u agreed?

Challenging time

Today was a very special and exciting day for me cause for the first time in my life, i drove for quite a distance from my home to the factory where i work in Bayan Lepas. I took a long detour via Greenlane instead of paya terubong. I lost my way for a while, >”< I drove to residence area, luckily I managed to get back onto the highway by following other cars, haha~, I’m quite clever indeed, :P.
It took me 1hr 15mins to reach my office at 8.04am (after i parked n walk to punch my card). Wait!! is not I drove so slow ok? Average 60-80km/j, haha~ The tracffic was really heavy on almost all the road that i past through. Especially around the schools. Suddenly I realized that how lucky am I can sleep during the way to work last time, and don’t have to fight through the traffic *-*
My supervisor assigned new function to me today, if everything go smoothly. After 1 month I will be appointed as permanent staff and promoted to a higher position, yeah!!!

Birthday Present

Yesterday i took delivery of my brand new car which is also the first car i ever owned. Though its not really my dream car, I still feel very happy for myself. After all, the car is my 29th birthday gift that I bought for myself. Today, I took a drive together with my parents, we drove from Air Itam, passing through Greenlane, Sungai Ara (My sister's home), Road 7 to buy some car accessories, Gurney, Tanjung Tokong to reach home. We covered almost half of Penang Island. Tomorrow, I will drive my new car to go shopping with friend. Yeah~
